-Dr. John Erickson, DC

Please Read All Of This!!!

Fibromyalgia has long been considered to be a “muscle problem.” It is classified as a non-joint related arthritis. I have yet to meet a person diagnosed with Fibromyalgia that ONLY has muscle pain – there is always the “other” symtpoms, that if one would take stock, might realize that their is more at work here than sore muscles. In fact, the symptoms that are associated with Fibromyalgia can be so profound that they literally can control your life. This alone makes This alone makes a thyroid problem a serious, life altering condition.

However…Fibromyalgia is not a muscle problem…it is something worse.

In our sophisticated day and age, many are given the diagnosis of “Fibromyalgia.” What, exactly does that mean? What is Fibromyalgia, where does it come from, and importantly, what can be done for it?

Fibromyalgia has become a “catch all” for those clinical cases that don’t seem to fit into any predetermined pattern of symtpoms, lab results, or findings. Many people are labeled as Fibromyalgia after all the tests run have come back normal – “I guess you have Fibromyalgia,” the doctor may say.

Many doctors get frustrated with Fibromyalgia because there is no effective treatment for it. This leads to patients being cycled through one medication after another, different therapies or being told that “you will just have to live with it.”

In desperation for results the patient and sometimes the doctor will recommend or try things that may have a negative impact later on.

Rarely is this condition handled as the real problem that it is, which is different than a muscle problem. Often what is recommended is to treat the “Fibromyalgia” and can, in many cases, actually make things worse.

So, if Fibromyalgia is not a muscle problem, what is it? I’ll get to that in a minute.

Judy was a woman with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. Fatigue was one of her worst symtpoms. Her fatigue was so bad that when she woke in the morning she had to choose between taking a shower or making breakfast because she didn’t have the energy to do both.

Conventional Approach vs Alternative Approach

The fibromyalgia population is grossly under served in both the conventional alternative health care system in the United States today. Conventional approaches are all based on measuring the “ruling out” other conditions and then placing the patient on pain killers, anti-seizure meds, or muscle relaxants – or worse, cutting nerves to control the pain. If those drugs and procedures didn’t work, the patient was often told that “you will just have to learn to live with it” – job done – end of story. The question of asking why the patient has the symptoms of Fibromyalgia is rarely asked or investigated. This leads to millions of Fibromyalgia sufferers who continue to suffer. with no visible hope in sight.

The alternative approach is fixated on treating Fibromyalgia as a “single-nutrient deficiency” problem, laying the cause of the Fibromyalgia to such things as omega 3 deficiency, iron deficiency, or adrenal gland deficiency. Due to the inter-relationship of the body a more comprehensive assessment and treatment approach is needed. Searching for that one nutrient that will fix things only leads to rotator cuff tears from holding all of the supplements that you have been carrying around.

One of the major problems we have is that people are trying to treat Fibromyalgia problems without understanding the complexities of body and its functions. Not understanding how the body works can lead to procedures that are unnecessary, costly and can actually make the condition worse!

In many instances, the thyroid problems are indicating that there are more serious problems occurring in the background. Take a look at some of the interactions with the thyroid. –>

Many alternative health care providers do not conduct laboratory testing and use unreliable testing procedures. It is time for a critical look at how Fibromytalgia is being managed and why most current approaches do not work – meaning do not address the true nature of the problem so that the symptoms can be addressed appropriately.

What is Fibromyalgia?

In the case of a person with Fibromyalgia, the problem is not with the muscles. The muscles are the innocent victim of more serious problem. Fibromyalgia is an BRAIN problem.

Brain studies of patients with fibromyalgia showed that they had less gray matter than those who did not have fibromyalgia. The brain was wearing out. This is precisely the reason for all of the “other” symtpoms of fibromyalgia: the fatigue is due to the brain being fatigued, the brain fog is due to the inability of the brain to process information (aka think) efficiently, etc.

If you continue to treat your symtpoms and ignore the involvement of the brain in this problem – you will get worse!

How do I know if I have brain involvement with my Fibromyalgia?

Careful neurological testing – called Functional Neurological Testing – can help to assess the different areas of the brain and which areas are not working properly. The functional neurology should also be coupled with appropriate labwork to determine the bodily processes that may still be negatively affecting the brain’s function. Example: How is the blood sugar? Is there systemic inflammation? How is digestion? All of these can impact brain function.

Riddle me this: If you were to treat all of the symptoms associated with Fibromyalgia, but not treat the problem, what hope have you of ever finding relief?

Why is what I’m doing now NOT working?

Understand that the management of fibromyalgia is very different than simply managing a muscle or an adrenal condition. Conventional approaches are through the use of invasive surgical procedures and the use of medication. While some of these procedures and medications may give you some initial relief of symtpoms – if the actual problem is not addressed the “honeymoon” period will eventually wear off and you will experience symtpoms again.

Alternative approaches are through the use of vitamins, minerals, and glandular supplementation. Fibromyalgia is not an adrenal problem and taking adrenal glandulars or lots and lots of vitamins is not addressing the cause.

This is why you are not getting the results you are seeking and THIS is why you will continue to get worse symptomatically as well as functionally.

What will happen to Me if it Continues?

Improper management of a Fibromyalgia condition will allow the brain to continue its downward spiral affecting more and more areas of your body. Unchecked this condition will lead more and more progressive signs of brain and body symptoms and signs. If the immune systems assault on the thyroid is not handled the thyroid tissue gland will become more and more damaged with the passing of time. Bottom line: the cause of the thyroid problem needs to be properly evaluated and then worked on.

We Can Help!

Fibromyalgia is a brain problem!

Fibromyalgia is often classified as an autoimmune condition. This means that your body is attacking itself – this is not good!

The longer you have Fibromyalgia the more and faster your brain dies. The Journal of Neuroscience reports that the McGill University Centre for Research on pain has found; “The longer the individual has had fibromyalgia, the greater the gray matter loss, with each year of fibromyalgia being equivalent to 9.5 times the loss in normal aging”. In addition it is estimated that 30-60% of patients diagnosed with Fibromyalgia become disabled to the degree they cannot remain gainfully employed…and that is with the myriad of medications prescribed.

Study indicates that those with fibromyalgia have less grey matter in the brain.

Father of fibromyalgia research offers a new perspective

June 26th, 2007 by Richard Brassaw

It was 25 years ago when Muhammad B. Yunus, MD, published the first controlled study of fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS). It was this study that led the medical community to recognize FMS as a disease. JohnB. Winfield, MD, calls Dr. Yunus, “…the father of our modern view of fibromyalgia.”

Once again, Dr. Yunus has published, Fibromyalgia and Overlapping Disorders: The Unifying Concept of Central Sensitivity Syndromes, which promises to be another fibromyalgia landmark study. In this study, Dr. Yunus made an exhaustive study of 255 publications dealing with FMS and related diseases. From this massive amount scientific literature, and with his own insights, developed a concept that he calls the Central Sensitivity Syndrome (CSS).

Dr. Yunus describes 13 conditions related to CSS. Although in some patients stress and depression may contribute to the symptoms of pain and suffering the real cause is neurochemical pathology. He concludes that CSS is a new and important perspective that embraces the biopsychosocial model of disease for FMS.

The biopsychosocial model comprises of diverse contributions ranging from genes and adverse childhood experiences, life stress and distress, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mood disorders, self-efficacy for pain control, catastrophizing, coping style, and social support. It is expected that neuroscience research will now incorporate a biopsychosocial perspective.

Pain is the most prominent symptom of Fibromyalgia. It usually affects the entire body, although it may start in one area, such as the neck and shoulders, and spread to other areas over a period of time. Fibromyalgia is a form of generalized muscular pain and fatigue. The name, Fibromyalgia, means pain in the muscles and the fibrous connective tissues (the ligaments and tendons), however, research demonstrates that this isn’t a muscle condition, but a neurological condition.

Another article entitled, “Rewiring Your Gray Matter” discusses the concept of Neuroplasticity – or the ability of the brain to reorganize itself. …”Of all the finds, though, one is rewriting the textbooks. It is the dawning realization that a brain older than three years old is not the rigid structure that scientists long thought, but a malleable, ‘plastic’ organ”… “But a flood of discoveries show that the brain continually reorganizes itself. It’s called ‘neuroplasticity.’ And it means that “you create your brain from the input you get”

———————————————————————————-

Pain is the most prominent symptom of Fibromaylgia.

You (or someone you know) may be experiencing moderate or severe fatigue with a lack of energy, decreased exercise endurance, or the kind of exhaustion that results from the flu or lack of sleep. Sometimes the fatigue is more of a problem than the pain. Headaches, especially tension and migraine headaches, are common in Fibromyalgia. Abdominal pain, bloating, alternating constipation, bladder spasms, and irritability may cause urinary urgency or frequency. Your skin and blood circulation can be sensitive to temperature changes, resulting in temporary changes in skin color.

Have you suffered with for a few months, a few years, or too many years to mention? Some may suffer only minor symptoms, while others (perhaps you or a loved one) feel the debilitating affects of Fibromyalgia and are kept from participating in their life, making even simple daily activities almost impossible.

Throughout my years in practice I have tried the full range of therapies and treatments available to me, with minimal improvement. I knew there had to be more, a method of treatment that could help them (and you!). I began searching to find the answer.. and then.. I found it. The answer to helping most Fibromyalgia symptoms. Brain Based Therapy.

I found out about this breakthrough therapy from my friend and mentor Dr. Michael Johnson author of the alternative medicine best seller,”What Do You Do When the Medications Don’t Work? A Non-Drug Treatment of Dizziness, Migraine Headaches, Fibromyalgia, and Other Chronic Conditions.” After talking with Dr. Johnson and studying his breakthrough techniques we have finally been able to help people with Fibromyalgia and many other chronic symptoms.

Is It Really That Simple?

Yes, for most people the answer is really that simple: Brain Based Therapy.

How Does This Work?

You are most likely starting to wonder “What is the program going to be like?”. I can tell you from personal experience and from watching patients and staff participate in the therapies, that they are beneficial and enjoyable.

Treatments can include one-sided adjustments, simple exercise, eye exercises, heat and other activities. These techniques coupled with a full neurological and nutritional workup have enabled us to help most of our patients to get rid of their chronic symptoms no matter how long they have been experiencing them.

Imagine how different your life would be if you were free from the burdens that your Fibromyalgia causes you.

“If you have had fibromyalgia problems for a short time or a long time and still are struggling with the symptoms,
it is very likely that your thyroid disorder is not being managed according to what the true problem is.”

-Dr. John Erickson, DC

Please Read All of This!!!

The fibromyalgia population is grossly underserved in both the conventional and alternative healthcare system in the United States today. Conventional medicine blames the muscles to be the problem. This is even evident in the name of the condition:

Fibro – refers to muscles, and Myalgia – refers to pain. I will tell you what is really the problem in just a moment.

Conventional approaches are all based on treating your symptoms through the use of medications in the hopes that they will get “lucky” and find a drug that will give you some relief without doing to many side effects. Many of the drugs prescribed for fibromyalgia are used off-label. This means that they were never developed for the use of fibromyalgia and are being used outside of their original intended purpose. If you research your drug you will find that is most likely and anti-seizure medication. In the end, if you aren’t getting results with earlier recommendations you will be prescribed an anti-depressant and told to “cope with it”.

The alternative approach is fixated on treating the fibromyalgia as a “single-nutrient deficiency” problem, laying the cause of the fibromyalgia to a such things as mineral deficiency, vitamin deficiency, or heavy metal toxicity. Due to the complexity of fibromyalgia and its involvement with other critical areas of the body a more comprehensive assessment and treatment approach is needed. Searching for that one nutrient that will fix things only leads to rotator cuff tears from holding all of the supplements that you have been carrying around.

One of the major problems we have is that people are trying to treat fibromyalgia without understanding what is really behind the problem. Not understanding fibromyalgia is can lead to procedures that are unnecessary, costly and can actually make the condition worse!

Many alternative healthcare providers do not conduct laboratory testing and use unreliable testing procedures such as auxiliary temperature testing, iodine skin absorption, muscle testing, etc. It is time for a critical look at how fibromyalgia is being managed and why most current approaches do not work – meaning do not address the true nature of the problem so that the symptoms can be addressed appropriately.

Fibromyalgia is NOT a muscle problem. Fibromyalgia is a NERVE PROBLEM.

The longer you have fibromyalgia the more and faster your brain dies! There is a reason why fibromyalgia is often accompanied by changes in personality, loss of memory, loss of coordination and strength, etc.

The Journal of Neuroscience reported,
“The longer an individual has had fibromyalgia, the greater the gray matter loss,
with each year of fibromyalgia being equivalent to 9.5 times the loss in normal aging.”

In addition it is estimated that 30-50% of patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia become disabled to the degree
they cannot remain gainfully employed…and that is with the myriad of medications prescribed.

______________________________________________________

You need to attend our Fibromyalgia Recovery Introduction Workshop.

Here is what we know (and what you should know):

We know that fibromyalgia is a common health conditions in the country.

We know that the majority of these people are women.

We know that many on synthetic or bio-identical thyroid hormones have normal blood work, but still have the symptoms.

We know that most don’t feel good.

We know that poorly managed fibromyalgia problems will cause interact with the brain (forgetfulness, depression), digestive tract (poor digestion), immune system (auto-immune issues), glucose levels (blood sugar problems), etc.

We know that these problems will not be fixed by bottles and bags of supplements.

We know that most people go through a “honeymoon” period on a new drug and can feel good for a short time only to have a reversal.

We know that you need to understand what is going on…

This workshop will give you the answers you have been seeking.

——————————————-REGISTER BELOW——————————————-

You will learn things that have NEVER been told about Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue.

You will learn (as strange as this may seem) that your problem is not really even with your muscles.
You (and your doctor) have been working on the wrong thing.

You will learn how the longer you have Fibromyalgia the more your brain will decay!
You will learn why Fibromyalgia is so difficult to treat…if you don’t truly understand it.

You will learn what you need to do, once and for ever, get a handle on this life-destroying problem.

______________________________________________________

This Workshop is Appropriate for:

Father of fibromyalgia research offers a new perspective

June 26th, 2007 by Richard Brassaw

It was 25 years ago when Muhammad B. Yunus, MD, published the first controlled study of fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS). It was this study that led the medical community to recognize FMS as a disease. John

Your brain and nervous system need two things to survive: fuel and activation. Fuel comes in the form of glucose and oxygen. You get the glucose from the food you eat BUT as you age, your ability to utilize oxygen decreases. We are giving you oxygen to help you heal faster. We want to get you better as fast as possible.

PLUS…….The cerebellum is in the back part of your brain and it controls ALL of your spinal musculature as well as your balance and coordinated movement. When the cerebellum is not firing correctly, the muscles will spasm, the vertebra lock up and the disc will lose fluid and degenerate. When we get the cerebellum firing better, the spinal muscles will no longer be in spasm, the vertebra will move better and your disc will re-generate.

Do you remember those tests that we did to check your cerebellum (finger to nose, standing with eyes closed and feet close together, playing piano, touching your finger that is over your head, etc.)? The cerebellum is the most DEPENDENT area of the body when it comes to oxygen. So that is why we are giving you oxygen, to get you better faster by allowing your cerebellum to work better!

Is oxygen essential for brain activity?

The brain demands at least 20% of the body’s oxygen supply, when it doesn’t get this supply it can lead to issues such as sleep apnoea, poor concentration, forgetfulness, mood swings, restlessness, depressive thoughts and low drive.

Brain activity – Dr. Andrew Scholey, Division of Psychology, University of Northumbria: “Extra oxygen has been shown to enhance mental performance and memory recall in healthy active adults in several clinical studies”. Ref. Pmid: 10604851 (pubmed – indexed for medline)

————————————————————————————————————

Other Benefits:

STAY STRONG.

Fatigue has been reported by several studies as one of the most common symptoms experienced by people worldwide*.

*”Boosting Your Energy” A Special Health Report from Harvard Medical School, Harvard Health Publications, 2006

Every breath you take converts to energy. Human cells use nutrients from food and oxygen to create adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy source that fuels cell function. If your cells receive too little oxygen, they produce less energy. If your cells need more energy, they use more oxygen. That’s why your breathing rate increases when you exercise.

STAY ALERT.

Unlike muscles, your brain cannot store energy. It needs a steady flow of nutrients and oxygen to function normally. Oxygen deficiency can decrease your alertness, memory and judgment. Conditions that can reduce blood oxygen levels include:

air pollution

traveling to a higher elevation

breathing stale air that has less than the normal 20-21% oxygen.

“Insufficient oxygen means insufficient biological energy that can result in anything from mild fatigue to life threatening disease. The link between insufficient oxygen and disease has now been firmly established.” Dr. W. Spencer Way, journal of the American association of physicians

What are the main benefits of using oxygen?

Studies have shown that oxygen helps:

Stimulate brain activity

Increase memory capacity

Boost concentration

Develop stronger alertness

Raise energy levels

Improve strength

Build endurance

Detox your blood

Reduce stress

Calm anxiety

Alleviate tension headaches

Remedy irregular sleeping patterns

Help with cardiovascular activity

Prevent lactic acid build up

Strengthen the immune system

————————————————————————————————————

Medical Thoughts on Oxygen

“Extra oxygen enables you to recover more quickly from exertion. It allows someone to train and then exercise again.” – Dr. John Brewer, head of sports science at Lilleshall Human Performance Centre: Health and Fitness 1999.

“Oxygen can clear your head, help eliminate toxins, and give you a mind high” – Andy Davison exercise physiologist Cosmopolitan 2000.

“If you use oxygen for 20 minutes, muscles become loosened; headaches and stress seem to disappear. There is a renewed energy and a feeling of relaxation. I am confident oxygen works.” – Dr. Richard de Andrea Sunday Herald.

“Increases alertness, improves the body’s ability to burn fat and enhances physical performance.” – Howard Robbins D.P.M, for The Journal.

“Dr. Parris Kidd stated that ‘oxygen plays a pivotal role in the proper functioning of the immune system; i.e. Resistance to disease, bacteria and viruses.’ Dr. Stephen Levine stated that ‘we can look at oxygen deficiency as the single greatest cause of disease.’ thus the development of a shortage of oxygen in the blood could very well be the starting point for the loss of the immune system and the beginning of feared health problems such as Cancer, Leukemia, AIDS, Candida, seizures, and nerve deterioration.” B. Goulet – The Magic of Aerobic Oxygen – Focus on Nutrition.

“In all serious disease states we find a concomitant low oxygen state…low oxygen in the body tissues is a sure indicator for disease… Hypoxia, or lack of oxygen in the tissues, is the fundamental cause for all degenerative disease.” Dr. Stephen Levine, renowned molecular biologist author, Oxygen Deficiency: A concomitant to all degenerative illness.

“I have ME and Fabro-Myalgia and have suffered with this debilitating condition for more than twelve years. I saw an oxygen bar at a health event and needed to sit down and by chance tried the oxygen. After this for four days I felt so active, had no pain, no fatigue, and no exhaustion and even managed to clean my house out. I made frequent trips in my car to the tip and charity shop of which I am normally unable do. I even went out for a meal and went shopping which I’ve never been able to do.” Carol Mason from Patmoor, Staffordshire.

Exercise with Oxygen Therapy

Basically, the body’s ability to transfer oxygen from the lungs to the cells is perhaps the most significant factor in whether you live a healthy life or not. This transfer mechanism becomes damaged with age, and then susceptibility to illness increases. However, EWOT aids the body in repairing this vital mechanism.

The scientific aspect of EWOT is a little complex, but here is a basic explanation. Oxygen comprises 20% of the atmosphere. Atmospheric pressure is 760 mm and thus the partial pressure of oxygen entering the body’s lungs is about 150 mm. However, oxygen in the lungs is diluted considerably with carbon dioxide. As the environment becomes increasingly polluted, the oxygen we intake is more and more diluted by carbon dioxide leaving the body and in the atmosphere. After oxygen is diluted, its pressure is reduced to 100-110 mm. This pressure drives the oxygen from the lungs into the blood and via the arteries to the capillaries in the extremities of the body. The capillaries then release some of the oxygen to support individual cells.

Ideally, the pressure of the oxygen in the arteries will almost equal the pressure in the lungs. However, aging causes the arterial pressure to decrease to approximately 70 mm as opposed to 95 mm.

In order for the oxygen to reach the cells from the capillaries, it must dissolve into the water of the body. Unlike carbon dioxide, though, oxygen does not dissolve easily into liquid. The significance is this:

Oxygen’s solubility is heavily dependent on the pressure driving it.

Dr. Rowen of Second Opinion explains Oxygen is extracted in the capillaries and when the blood comes out the venous end of he capillary, the average pressure of oxygen in the veins is about 40 mm early in life and drops to 35 mm by age 70. The difference in the pressure of oxygen between the arterial and venous sides reflects how well the oxygen is delivered and consumed.

In your 30s, the amount of oxygen released to the cells is significantly higher than in your 70s: a 30 year-old will release 55 mm (95-40) while a 70 year-old will release 35 mm (70-35). That’s a huge drop in the amount of pressure of oxygen your cells receive.

The problem is that when you age, the oxygen pressure falls. Thus, while the volume of oxygen may stay the same and it may appear you are getting enough, your may be oxygen deficient because there isn’t enough pressure to make use of the volume of oxygen.

The breakthrough of EWOT is that it raises the arterial pressure to youthful levels; it only involves breathing high levels of oxygen while exercising. Exercise increases the circulation, creating a greater pressure to drive oxygen into the capillaries. The increase in pressure facilitates the repair of the transfer mechanism. EWOT is effective for every conceivable condition because it improves the delivery of the most essential substance in tissue life and repair.

Am I a candidate for Dr. Erickson’s treatments?

Not all patients will be accepted into our program. Dr. Erickson will make a determination of treatment acceptance after an initial evaluation. See our TWO FREE Trial Visits.

Why do you use Oxygen Therapy?

Your brain and nervous system need two things to survive: Fuel and Activation. Fuel comes in the form of oxygen and glucose. As we age our ability to use oxygen decreases. Oxygen therapy will help you get better faster!

Are your treatments safe?

Yes, extremely safe and painless.

I go to a chiropractor now, what is the difference?

Dr. Erickson’s approach includes chiropractic, but his extended education also allows him to look at health issues from a neurological, metabolic, and laboratory view. It is precisely this expanded view that allows him to get results where others have not.

What is the 2 Free Trial Visit program all about?
The 2 Free Trial Visit program is a way for you to meet with Dr. Erickson to determine if you are a candidate for care in his office without any financial risk. It will allow Dr. Erickson to determine if you meet the criteria for care and if he will accept your case. If you want to continue with treatment after the 2 visits it is entirely up to you. Click Here.

Do I need to change my lifestyle to get better?

There is a good chance that you will need to make some adjustments to your current lifestyle – particularly if they are contributing to your health situation. If you are a candidate for care, Dr. Erickson will discuss with you what changes need to be made to optimize your results.

Do I need to stop taking my medications?

Please be advised that Dr. Erickson will never tell you to stop taking your medications. That’s called practicing medicine without a license. As your symptoms improve during the course of care, Dr. Erickson will recommend that you return to your physician to adjust medication levels.

Will my insurance cover the treatments?

As with most alternative care, there is usually limited insurance coverage. Our office will print off a service sheet that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. In matters of health, it is best to be prepared to pay out-of-pocket. *If insurance comes through, considerate it a bonus.

How much do your treatments costs?

It varies due to individual patient findings. After a thorough review of your case, Dr. Erickson will determine the course of care for your specific case.

Do I need to go outside of the office for labwork?

We have contracted with local labs to perform the necessary tests. Some labs are test kits that are sent home with you to perform and drop in the mail. Getting the necessary lab work done is efficient and convenient in our office.

I have read through your website and watched the videos and like your approach. How do I become a patient?

Fill out the webform (to the right) to request your TWO FREE Visits. You will be contacted to schedule your visits with Dr. Erickson. He will review your case for appropriateness, and let you know if you accept you as a patient.

One of my favorite things to do is dance. I had begun to limit the amount of dancing I did due to pain in my right hip.

In a way I was in doubt about the ability of this program to help. After a couple of visits I noticed I was walking with less pain.

I also took a trip outside the US that required a great deal of walking and I did not have a single problem.

The true test came one night when I went out dancing and decided to throw all caution to the wind. I danced and danced and the next morning I figured I would have pain, but I did not.

I feel so much better with the therapy techniques that Dr. Erickson has administered. I am more energized, I’ve lost some weight, and I feel a little “buzz” of better circulation all over from head to toe. The biggest improvement is in the reduction of intermittent dull sinus headaches which used to be almost constant. Now, The headaches are very mild and very infrequent, but they are still a “work-in-progress”!

So far, I have lost 12 pounds and feel like a big rock has been lifted off of me. I have more to smile about now than before I started seeing Dr. Erickson. Well after 4 visits with Dr. Erickson, I was able to walk about 40 minutes around Wal-Mart and not have any problems then or afterwards! Thank you Dr. Erickson.

In the short time (1 week) that I have been on the program there have been some very positive changes.
I have suffered from back pain for years. I did heavy lifting at my previous job for about 4 years. During that time, I went to chiropractors and I had massage done for years. The pain eased a bit, but it never went away. There were days I could barely get out of bed. I would actually have to roll out of bed. It was like some sort of acrobatic feat just to get out of bed. I figured part of my back problem was because of my stomach weight problem. I found out it wasn’t true.

After my first appointment with Dr. Erickson, the pain wasn’t as bad. When I got up the next morning, I got right up and it didn’t dawn on me until I was up and about, that I didn’t have to fight to get up. I am really amazed. Even now, about 2 weeks later, I am just getting out of bed without any issues. Thank you so much.

A serious health concern for many years has been my leg blood clots in both varicose veins, and a great amount of discomfort and weakness.
Since being a patient of Dr. Erickson, I have experienced much improvement in both legs and even made speedy progress recovering from plantar fasciitis. On January 3, 2008, I had my final laser procedure done on one leg, this time my recovery has been rapid, with no need to use the prescription for pain medication. In four days I was back exercising and have enjoyed some lengthy shopping trips. Turning 70 on Dec. 29th has made me extra aware of my blessings, one of which has been Dr. Erickson.
